    The correct answer here is this one: Both start with glycolysis.

    The main difference between fermentation and aerobic respiration is actually that fermentation does not require oxygen and can take place in oxygen-free environments, - this is the reason why the first option is wrong.

    Answer;

    The similarity between alcohol fermentation and aerobic respiration is that both start with glycolysis.

    Explanation;

    Alcohol fermentation is anaerobic process which involves the conversion of sugars such as glucose, into alcohol and carbon dioxide by the action of yeasts.

    Aerobic respiration involves production of cellular energy in the presence of oxygen through break down of nutrients such as glucose in the mitochondria.

    The two processes are similar in that they both start with the series of reactions that breaks down glucose molecules into pyruvate molecules (glycolysis), and also in that during both processes, energy in the form of ATP is produced for use by the cells. (2 ATP in alcohol fermentation and 34 ATP in aerobic respiration).
