    Answer - Mutations are not passed from parent to offspring.

    Only the mutations occurring in the sex cells (germ cells) are heritable and passed from parent to the offspring. However, any kind of mutation in the rest of cells of the body are not passed on to the offspring.

    3rd statement is scientifically based as some mutation can be good for organism where as some can be bad or infectious
