Through mutation, HIV can accumulate resistance to drugs developed for treatment. Describe the relationship between HIV and the humans who developed these drugs in terms of an evolutionary arms race.

    By mutating and developing resistance to drugs, HIV can become a stronger type of a virus, which should require stronger medication to deal with, which might become detrimental for the overall health of those infected.
