Cytosol is the fluid that is found within all kinds of cells. It is the only part of the cytoplasm that is not being held by any of the organelles in the cell. On the other hand, the cytoplasm refers to the part of the cell that can be found in the whole membrane of the cell. All the cell organelles are found in the cytoplasm. Moreover, the cytosol is where the chemical reactions of the prokaryotes occur however, it is in the cytoplasm that large scale cellular activities like cell division takes place.
