Is it surprising that these genes would be of such similar lengths despite being from different species? Explain.

    It is not surprising that organisms from different specifies have similar gene length because rainbow trout, brown trout and common carp are all under the phyla Chordata. Rainbow trout and brown trout are in the same genus and species so it makes sense they have similar gene characteristics.
