Explain how the DNA double helix is similar to a spiral straircase

    A DNA double helix is made up of two strands that intertwine with each other. In terms of shape it is also spiral like a spiral staircase. Connecting the two strands are a bunch of base pairs similar to the individual steps in the staircase.
