Why was the use of DDT banned in the US?

    DDT was a pesticide used by the US. It had some bad effects on others, such as Eagles. When their eggs were exposed to this pesticide, it affected their development and some of them never hatched. That made the eagle population decline, forcing the US to ban the use of DDT.

    DDT is a pesticide.

    U. S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1970, found evidence of the negative effects of DDT's benefits, it's impact on the environment & the toxicity of it, slowly prohibiting it's uses.
