In some cases, inflammation of cranial nerves accompanies acute labyrinthitis. Which cranial nerve is most likely to be affected?

    Labyrinthinitis occurs when there's an inflammation on the labyrinth (part of inner ear). The cranial nerve that is most likely affected is the 8th cranial nerve (vestibulocochlear), it is responsible in sending signals from inner ear to the brain.
