Do all organisms have the same number of chromosomes

    Some organisms do have the same number of chromosomes, but not all. What makes the organism unique is that they have different types of genetic traits. If all organisms had a different number of chromosomes then some would have millions of chromosomes and the cell could not contain them all.

    So simply, no they don't.
