    The correct answer is A.

The sequence that correctly traces the path of a protein in the cell is; ribosome, RE reticulum, Golgi Apparatus, release from cell.

    Explanation.

After the process of translation which takes place in the ribosomes, the protein passes into the channels of the rough endoplasmic reticulum for transportation. The protein is then passed to the Golgi apparatus (system of membranes responsible for modification, processing and packaging of proteins), inside the vesicles. The Golgi apparatus packages the protein in a secretory vesicle, which then fuses with the cell membrane and releases the protein from the cell.

The question says,'which sequence traces the path of a protein in the cell? The correct option is A. In the cell, ribosome handles the synthesis of proteins. After protein synthesis, the proteins are transported to the rough endoplasmic reticulum and from there to the golgi apparatus which excrete unwanted proteins from the cell.
