Area of high pressure where air moves apart and sinks

    This kind of an area is called anticyclone. Basically, what happens is that air moves apart and cold air that comes from the top sink and this causes the weather to become much cooler and for the air to be dryer. Some people like this, some don't. It's caused by winds moving clockwise and changing weather patterns.
