What does dominance refer to in genetics

    Dominance refers to a condition in which one of the alleles is dominant to the other, and the heterozygote offspring shows only the dominant trait. For example: in eye color CC is black and cc is brown - with dominance, the heterozygote's eye color would be Cc black.
