What role does the invertebrate host play in the life cycle of the trypanosomes?

    The host of a trypanosome gives food and habitat for the parasite. The parasite enters the bloodstream and transforms into a trypomastigotes. Once in the bloodstream, the parasite reaches the other body parts of the body of the host and reproduces.
