On a summer camping on the coast trip, Maria and her family hunted for sharks teeth. Sharks teeth are fossilized remains of ancient sharks that trolled the waters for prey. To their surprise they found other fossil remains, remains that changed as they dug farther from the shore. A sample of the fossils they found are seen here. What do the fossils tell us about the area? A) All life once lived in the oceans. B) The climate changed over the years. C) It was once underwater; now it is not. D) The habitat stayed the same; the animal species changed.
