When heat is transferred out of the cup, it means that the molecules will have less kinetic energy and so will move slower because the temperature has gone down. If you were to keep cooling the substance - the particles would eventually regain their rigid, uniform shape of a solid, ice. This is because the forces attracting the molecules to each other are stronger in solids than in liquids.

The molecules would vibrate barley moving because it is frozen and the temperature would drop.
