    Bryophytes and angiosperms might survive in dry forests but would not thrive. Bryophytes (mosses etc) prefer moist habitats to thrive. Angiosperms, or flowering plants, typically need at least moderate rainfall for the flowers to come to fruition and bear seeds, as well as for the seeds to be able to get down into the soil and take root.
