How does the rotation and revolution of the earth and the apparent movement of the Sun, moon, and stars are connected

Well its common knowledge that the moon and Sun and Stars arent really moving but infact they appear to move as they do because of Earths Rotation which causes the Sun and the moon to travel around the sky and the Revolution which causes stars to appear at different locations in the sky at different times.
