How are karyotypes used to determine the presence of genetically inherited chromosomal disorders?

    Well karyotypes are charts showing all the chromosomes a fetus has when extracted. This chart then shows us if a chromosome is missing or if their is an extra one. This can also determine the sex of the baby.
