If there was a sudden decrease of fungus in a specific area, explain the impact this would have on the plant populations within this environment.

    Fungi are saprotrophic and have a very important niche in the environment that is they decompose dead organic matter through which the organic molecules will be made available for the Plant again so that it can be used for growth purposes. Without Fungi the dead matter would pile up polluting the environment.
