    It specifies the production of a polymer because of the codon coding, if you get the amino acid of Methionine, made from the mRNA codon, Adenine-Uracil-Guanine. It will then code for the every codon after that until it reaches a stop codon. (Uracil-Adenine-Adenine, Uracil - Adenine-Guanine, Uracil-Guanine-Adenine)
