Which type of spectrum is expected from a glowing hot solid?

A glowing hot solid can gives out a continuous spectrum. This spectrum gives the complete set of colors without a skip. A rainbow is one example of this phenomenon. The Same effect will be observed with high pressured gas or even liquids that are strike with light.
