What does it mean when we say a muscle contracts involuntarily?

    It means we don't have to think about it in order to do it.

    Example, the heart. The heart pumps all on its own.

    Example of voluntary muscle: The muscle on our arms and legs we must tell to move, they don't do it on their own.
