An alien civilization is in order around a high mass supergiant. should they stay or should they go elsewhere? Why?

If we found an alien civilization around a high mass supergiant, I don't see any reason why they should go away from it. If they posses the technological capabilities to be able to survive around a supergiant, this only tells us that they also can manage themselves in the event when this civilization will explode.
