Embryo and root tissue are both examples of fast-growing tissues, therefore mitosis is occurring at a greater rate than in bone tissue, which only grows rapidly in children and then very little once someone is fully developed. Therefore, a slide of an embryo or root will show more cells in various mitotic stages.
