For two populations to evolve into two species that look different, what must happen?

    A form of speciation, whether it is allopatric speciation, which is the separation of a population by a physical barrier i. e. a dam wall, or sympatric speciation, which is the separation of a population but not by physical barriers, needs to happen for a population to evolve into different species
