Type 1 diabetes usually starts at a young age and thus children have guardians to take care of them compared to type 2 diabetes which happens at adult age and they have to take care of themselves.

Secondly, since type1 diabetes occurs at young age, it is also easy to control the diet of young children. However, for type 2 diabetes, complications increase, as the intake of unhealthy diet is high at adult age.

Thirdly, a patient of type1 diabetes has to undergo regular checkups and glucose monitoring and take continuous medication. In comparison to this, a patient of type2 diabetes has to undergo a change in lifestyle and learn to get rid of the disease.
