Why would a huge snowstorm have anything to do with global warming?

It wouldn't. Snowstorms are caused by other types of climate change.

Global warming can cause more extreme local weather, and some of it might be colder for certain regions.

Snowstorms are becoming much less frequent than before due to global warming.

All of the above are true.
