Why is growth hormone not a tropic hormone?

    Tropic hormones are hormones produced and secreted by the anterior pituitary, which target endocrine glands. Growth hormones are not considered as tropic hormones because they directly stimulate target cells to induce effects. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day
