If an orangutan cell had 24 chromosomes then the cell is diploid or haploid

    Orangutans have a haploid number of 24 and diploid number of 48. They have one more set of chromosomes than humans. The diploid number is always the higher number and double that of the haploid number because the diploid number includes the DNA molecules from both parents.
