A spore stalk grows from the gametophyte of a moss. What is the next step in its life cycle? A: Gametophyte B: Meiosis C: Gametes D: Mitosis I know for certain it's NOT A; I tried it and it was wrong.

    DNA replication is being followed by two rounds of cell division which produce four daughter cells, whereby each has half number of chromosomes being the original parent.
