    The wife and husband are heterozygous, therefore, they have one dominate allele and one recessive allele. The little boy inherited both recessive alleles so he can't roll his tongue.

    T = Dominate allele

    t = recessive allele

    Wife : Tt

    Husband: Tt

    Boy: tt
