    C. Sensory Adaptation. Sensory Adaptation happens when the sensitivity of the sensory receptors change or decrease due to frequent exposure to that stimulus. In other words, the body is getting used to the stimulus because of prolonged exposure. Our skin is responsible for our sense of touch. That is why, we cannot constantly feel our clothing on our bodies because our sense of touch has already adapted to it.
