It would be the frontal lobe of sally that was affected. The frontal lobes are involved in motor function, problem solving, spontaneity, memory, language, initiation, judgement, impulse control, and social and sexual behavior. Hope this answers the question.

The difficulty in speech and language that is experienced by Sally is due to the damaged in discrete parts of her brain in the left frontal lobe that is also referred to as Broca's area. This lobe is significantly important for cognitive communication skills.
