How might upward growth of cities be better than outward growth

    As outgrowth means more of the land must be built upon and destroyed including cutting down forests, demolishing houses ... Upgrowth the "skies the limit"

    Less land and forest are torn down to expand cities. And less animal habitats would be destroyed
