    The basic structural and functional unit of all living beings is a cell. It consists of cytoplasms and many organelles. However, it cannot be subdivided into smaller units that maintain the living state. The call is the smallest unit of living being that can be an independent living unit. Cytoplasm is the living content of the cell, however, it could not survive on its own. On the other hand, some cells can (remember all unicellular organisms).
