Summarize how metabolism in organisms depends on water.

Metabolism occurrs in cells having 80-90%water as major constutient. Cells will decrease their activities when there is less water. Many hormones e'g (growth hormone) are sent to different organs for some anabolic or catabolic activity via blood (which is mostly water).
