Explain why biodiversity is important for the survival of species

    The more diverse a single species is, the more likely that species will survive (such as humans). If an environmental disaster killed all life in North America, humans will survive because we are diverse. If an isolated species lived in North America, it would become extinct as it can only be found in the disaster.
