After glycolysis, what happens in the pathway when Oxygen is present? What molecules in the pathway would accumulate when someone is deprived of oxygen?

    However, your body must break down the glucose into ATP, or cellular energy, through a process called glycolysis. If oxygen is available, glycolysis is followed by two processes in the mitochondria - - the Krebs cycle and oxidative phosphorylation, respectively - - that further increase ATP yield.
