Darwin observed fossils of huge animals such as glyptodon a giant armadillo why were there fossils of interest to him

    Since Darwin created the theory of evolution, my guess is that he was trying to support his thoughts of the finches' beaks in the Galapagos with evidence of past ancestors between different species such as the Glyptodon and the Giant Armadillo.
