Some types of cancers are treated with radiation similar to ultraviolet light. why might it be beneficial to irradiate cancer cells

    There are types of cancers that are treated with the use of radiation. Radiation is considered beneficial for cancer cells because this targets the DNA of these cells. Once the DNA is damaged, this also damages the whole cell itself which would result in the stopping of the division of the bad or diseased cells.
