Why is measuring the rate of oxygen production in chloroplasts appropriate for estimating the rate of photosynthesis?

    I had to look for the options and here is my answer:

    The measurement of the rate of oxygen production in chloroplasts would be considered as suitable for the estimation of the rate of photosynthesis because the production of oxygen is done by "splitting" water in the PS (photosynthesis) II complex.
