Were there more producers than consumers and more consumers than predators on your pyramid? A mouse eats 100 times his own weight in grain in a lifetime. You can see that plants must produce a great amount of food for just one mouse. What do you think would happen if grain was no longer available for the mouse to eat? How would it affect other organisms in your ecosystem?

    If there is no grain available for the mouse the mouse population would die because it would have lost its main food source then the predator of the mouse would have less food resulting in a decrease in population
