What are the functions of the cardiovascular system?

The cardiovascular system has five parts:

Arteries - carry oxygen blood away from the heart to the body and form the circulatory system.

Capillaries - carry blood to the skin and other tissues.

Veins - return blood to the heart from the rest of the body.

Heart - pumps blood throughout the body.

Blood - carries oxygen to cells, waste away from cells, disease-fighting cells, regulates pH levels and regulates body temperature.
