In an ecosystem, can there be more carnivores then herbivores

    No this is not possible. Carnivores depend upon herbivores for their nutrition. Therefore, the total biomass of herbivores should always exceed the total bioass of carnivores. During lack of herbivores, carnivores will strave and dimish, so their number also decrease.
