Using specific events in the formation of gametes and zygotes, describe why there is a greater diversity in sexual reproduction than in asexual reproduction.

    Gametes are made via meiosis. Meiosis is associated with crossing over, which creates genetic diversity. When gametes from two different organisms are combined, that’s the time that zygotes are formed. This means that the zygote receives influence from two separate genetic codes.
