The branch of a land plant growing near water is completely submerged under water. Afew of its leaves float on the water. will photosynthesis occur in these leaves?

    In short, no. For photosynthesis to occur, the plant must have access to other nutrients such as water and soil. The leaves floating on the water have none of these.
