Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a sex-linked disorder. If a father has a normal X chromosome and the mother is a carrier, what are the odds that a male child would have Duchenne muscular dystrophy? what are the odds for a female child to have the disease or be a carrier?

    The chance would be 50/50 ... because the father doesn't have that gene (50) and the mother has that gene (50) or half and half ... hope that answered your question
