It is possible that a recessive trait in a survey such as this one may have a greater total number than its dominant counterpart. Explain how that might happen in an investigation like this.

I get the question but i dont know what to write or how to write it.

    If the recessive trait is more than dominant, then the recessive trait will actually become dominant and the dominant trait will become recessive.

    if the issue is about autosomal dominance and autosomal recessiveness and / or x-linked recessiveness and x-linked dominance, because in this case there will be more recessive alleles than dominant ones.
