Why are carbohydrates used as quick energy as opposed to fats?

    Carbohydrates enter into the oxidation process more quickly than for fats, and thus provide energy more rapidly. Howevrr, the body can only hold a small amount of carbohydrates, which is why they are always used right away, compared to fats which can be stored in a greater quantity.
