Plants have cells that contain chloroplasts. Why must their cells also contain mitochondria as well?

    The cell must have chloroplasts and mitochondria since mitochondria makes energy for the organism whereas the chloroplast makes food for a plant cell.

    Mitochondria creates power for the cell which is why the are sometimes referred to as the powerhouse of a cell
